Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Photofacial is a non-surgical, non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that uses gentle pulses of light to safely and effectively eliminate years of sun damage, redness and brown pigmentation, literally “turning back the clock.” This treatment works to rejuvenate the skin by enhancing dull or gray complexions as well as smoothing out uneven pigmentation, reducing the appearance of large pores and even improving symptoms of Rosacea (a skin disorder characterized by severe redness).

What to Expect at Your Appointment

IPL Photofacial is a comfortable, straightforward treatment that most patients describe as feeling like a light rubber band snap against the skin — brief and very manageable. A full facial session typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes, making it easy to fit into a busy schedule. No anesthesia is needed, and you can return to your normal activities right after.

We recommend a series of 3 treatments, spaced about 4 weeks apart, for the most transformative results. Once your series is complete, a maintenance session once or twice a year helps you hold on to that refreshed, even complexion you've worked toward.

Preparing Your Skin for the Best Results

Getting ready for your IPL treatment is simple. We ask that you avoid sun exposure and self-tanning products for at least 4 weeks before your appointment, and to pause any retinoid or exfoliating skincare products about a week before your session. Arriving with clean, makeup-free skin is all you need to do on the day of your treatment.
After your session, daily SPF is your best friend. Protecting your skin from the sun preserves your results and keeps future damage at bay. We'll walk you through everything you need to know at your consultation so you feel completely prepared and confident going in.
