POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
• Expect swelling and tenderness for 48 to 72 hours. Possible bruising may last about 7 days. You may apply ice packs to treated areas for the first 24 hours to minimize swelling.

• Ibuprofen may be taken to ease swelling and tenderness.

• Normal activities may be resumed immediately following treatment.

• Makeup may be applied a few hours after treatment.

• Avoid sun exposure until swelling has resolved.

• Massage treated areas 5 times a day for 5 minutes for 5 days to distribute solution and help prevent nodule formation – unless instructed not to. This may be uncomfortable for the first couple of days, but is still necessary. The easiest time to massage is when the face is moistened with cleanser or moisturizer.

Possible Side Effect

The delayed appearance of tiny nodules under the skin, which can appear 6 to 12 months after treatment. They are palpable, but not visible and development can be minimized by following the post treatment massage instructions.

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Contraindications:

- Pregnancy

- Breastfeeding

- Antibiotic use within 10 days

- Retinol or Retin-A use within 7 days

- Accutane use within 6 months

- Active cold sore or fever blister

- Prolonged sun exposure or sun burns within 1 week

- Self-tanner use within 2 weeks

PREPARING FOR APPOINTMENT:
• Please arrive with a clean face or arrive 15 minutes early and let the front desk know so they can assist you.

• Avoid the following procedures: electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams, laser hair removal approximately 7 days before your treatment.

• Delay the use of any these ingredients for 7 days: Hydroquinone, Acne topicals, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, enzymes or other exfoliants.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
• Leave the chemical peel on for at least 8 hours or overnight.

• Stay cool! Avoid any excessive forms of heat; heating internally can cause hyperpigmentation. Do not use hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, no swimming, don’t workout or any activities that may cause perspiration for 24 hours.

• Avoid direct sun exposure and ALWAYS use sunscreen of at least 30 SPF.

• Do not have electrolysis, facial waxing or use depilatories creams for 7 days.

• It is normal for the skin to feel tight and itchy. Use the Post Care Kit to minimize any side effects. Your aesthetician will recommend any skin care products.

• Delay the use of any these ingredients for 7 days, Retinoids, Hydroquinone, Acne topicals, Alpha Hydroxy acids, Beta Hydroxy acids, enzymes or other exfoliants.

• Do not pick or pull on any loosening or peeling skin. This could potentially cause hyperpigmentation or scarring. The skin will generally begin peeling 2 to 3 days, however peeling can take place for the next 10 days.

• It is common for your skin to be reddened and sensitive immediately following your treatment. You may feel dry, tight and itchy, this is normal. Light flaking may occur in a few localized areas for several days but you should not necessarily expect to “peel”. The amount of peeling observed is not an indication of the effectiveness of the treatment. The amount of sloughing varies depending on the condition of your skin and the home care products that are used daily. Your skin will still benefit resulting in smoother and softer skin, a healthier glow, less oil, more moisture, refined pores, less discoloration, diminished fine lines and increased acne control.

• Do not have another facial treatment or peel until your clinician advises you to do so.

-Active cold sore or fever blister or active herpes outbreak.

-Prolonged sun exposure or sun burns within the last 7 days

Preparing for your appointment
• Please shave the treatment area the night before. Hair absorbs extra energy from the laser and makes it uncomfortable when the light hits the hair.

• Please arrive with a clean face or arrive 15 minutes early and let the front desk know so they can assist you.

• Discontinue Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Vitamin C one week prior to your appointment.

POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Keep the treated area out of the sun and always wear a minimum of 30 SPF sunscreen for 7 days after treatment. You can burn and blister even after the treatment, so avoid the sun for a week.

• Avoid hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, aggressive exercise and alcohol. We’re trying to avoid anything that may trigger redness-especially when treating for redness reduction, for 48 hours afterwards. These activities will increase vasodilation which can increase redness.

• Avoid aggressive active products such as Retinol/Retin-A, Vitamin C, scrubs or polishes for a week. Skin may be sensitive and must be treated gently. Review your skincare products with your provider to ensure there are no harsh ingredients. A post procedure kit is recommended.

Effects of IPL

There may be a sunburned sensation and redness for several hours after the treatment. Each area usually requires a series of treatments to achieve optimal pigment and redness reduction. Nothing is permanent and you may have to repeat a treatment series in the future to maintain results or deal with newly occurring pigment and redness.

Please report any prolonged redness, swelling, blisters or other unwanted side effects following your treatment.

PRE TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Contraindications

-Pregnancy

-Breastfeeding

-Antibiotic use within the last 10 days

-Retinol or Retin-A use within the last 7 days

-Accutane use within the last 6 months

-Active cold sore or fever blister

-Prolonged sun exposure or sun burns within the last 7 days

-Self tanner use within the last 2 weeks

Preparing for your appointment
• Don't pluck or wax the area for about 2 weeks before coming in for a treatment. The laser will only target hairs that are in the follicle.

• Give the treatment area a good, close shave the day of the appointment and as close to the time of the appointment as possible. If you are planning on having your back lasered and can't shave it yourself, we'll shave it for you for an extra charge of $35. It is important to let us know while making your appointment so that we can schedule extra time for the shave.

• Please don't apply any sort of products to the area. This includes lotion, deodorant, makeup and perfume. This especially applies to deodorants because the aluminum in deodorants may prevent an effective treatment.

POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Avoid the sun between treatments and use a good sunblock on the areas being treated. If you have gotten a tan on the area, please notify your laser technician. Sunless tanning products should also be avoided once treatments start.

• Don't pluck or wax the area between treatments. The laser will only target hairs that are in the follicle.

• Makeup may be used after treatment. It is recommended to use new makeup to reduce the possibility of infection. Just make sure that you have moisturizer under your makeup. In fact, moisturizer will help the dead hair exfoliate from the follicle, so use moisturizer frequently and freely on the treated area. Any moisturizer without alpha-hydroxy acids will work.

• Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.

• Anywhere from 5-30 days after the treatment, shedding of the hair may occur and this may appear as new hair growth. This is not new hair growth, but dead hair pushing its way out of the follicle. You can help the hair exfoliate by washing or wiping with a washcloth.

• You may shower after the laser treatments, and use soap, deodorant, etc. The treated area may be washed gently with a mild soap. Skin should be patted dry and not rubbed. Underarms that have been treated should be wiped with alcohol for 24 hours. You may apply deodorant after 24 hours.

• Hair re-growth occurs at different rates on different areas of the body. New hair growth will not occur for at least three weeks after treatment.

•Recommend follow up and repeat treatments in 4 weeks and for best results a series of 3 - 5 treatments

Day 2 (day after treatment):

Stay away from exfoliants or any acids that are present in cleansers/serums/moisturizers as these can make your skin very dry and irritated after the procedure. Be sure to use an approved SPF 30 or greater sunscreen.

Day 3 - 7: Within approximately 3 days following your medical micro-needling procedure, you may notice skin dryness, redness, discomfort, mild swelling or itchy skin. During this period, you may apply your regular skin moisturizer. Also please follow any specific instructions given to you by your Medical Aesthetician. Each treatment we do is customized to your skin tone and texture.

Days 7+: A week after the medical micro-needling procedure, most patients notice that their skin is smoother and more radiant. Continue with sun protection every day and reapply every 2 hours

if outdoors.

●      Wash your hands or wear gloves and continuously apply Resurfacing Balm (Aquaphor or Pure Vaseline Ointment to keep the area hydrated (approx every 3 to 5 hours). Do not use an open container or old product. Open containers can grow bacteria and cause infection to your skin.

●      DO NOT wash your face the day or night after the treatment.

●      Post Op Day 1:
